    Teen Overnight Camping Program

    The Teen Overnight Camping Program is a 1 to 2-day overnight camping excursion. Campers use their tripping skills to canoe to the site and set up camp alongside their counsellors. Campers swim, cook, and enjoy nature.

    Art Program

    Campers participate in the creation of art using various media. The process of creative expression enhances youth self-esteem who are supported physically, emotionally and/or cognitively.

    Board Games Program

    Campers play games collaboratively with their peers to build relationships, learn new games, and practice learning complex rulesets in order to succeed.

    Challenge Course

    Our challenge/high ropes course enhances youth cooperation, decision making, self-confidence, positive risk-taking, trust, leadership, goal-setting, teamwork, and problem-solving.

    Drama Program

    Campers participate in play based, drama activities and games. This Program is designed to allow children the opportunity to express themselves and learn in a fun and encouraging environment.

    Evening Program

    Camp Winston’s Evening Programs are a variety of different themed events and activities such as karaoke nights or talent shows, that take place after dinner every night.

    Gardening Program

    Campers are guided through educational trips identifying a variety of different herbs and plants, learning nutritional facts and medicinal properties about each plant from the Garden instructor.

    Gross Motor Activities

    Camp Winston’s gross motor room supports our neurodiverse campers and encourages them to improve their gross motor skills through fun activities.

    Music Program

    The Camp Winston’s Music Program is designed to allow campers with opportunities to express their creativity and learn new skills through multiple instruments.

    Our Nature Program helps campers develop an understanding and appreciation of nature and the physical world through their interactions with animals and plants.

    Playground Activities

    Our playground is a pivotal tool in the development of gross motor skills and social skills. Utilizing the playground is an effective play-based form of skill building that incorporates fun and exercise.

    Social Skills (7-13 years)

    Each morning campers engage in targeted activities to promote collaboration with peers through sports, board games, role plays, art and discussions.

    Social Skills (14-17 years)

    The teens’ social skills program centres around competencies in the workplace. This may include strategies for sustaining work, conflict resolution skills, and how to converse with superiors and colleagues.

    Sports Program

    At Camp Winston, all children participate in sports activities. Activities are designed around the camper's goals and abilities to ensure that each sports rotation is fun and successful.

    Swimming Program

    Our Swimming Program is developed to be both instructional and recreational. Our campers learn best in an environment where each child can learn at an individual pace free of pressure from peers.

    Tripping Program

    Our Tripping Program provides a safe learning environment that fosters the development of outdoor skills within a group setting. This program prepare campers for the Algonquin Program taken in their teens.

    Waterfront Program

    Our Waterfront Program facilitates the building of motor skills, trust and self-confidence and is one of the most popular activities at Camp Winston. Water sports include tubing, kneeboarding, wakeboarding, ect.
