Swimming Program

The Camp Winston Swim Program involves each cabin of campers that are 7-17 years of age, attending approximately two swim activity rotations during their time at Camp Winston. This program is developed to be both instructional and recreational. Campers swim in our designated waterfront on beautiful Sparrow Lake to learn the basics of swimming including doggy paddle, breaststroke, backstroke, etc and, play games, and build confidence in their swimming skills. Our children learn best in an environment where each child can learn at an individual pace free of pressure from peers. Children also have the opportunity for general swims each day where they can, while under the supervision of a counsellor and lifeguard, enjoy a range of waterfront play.
