Tripping Program

The Camp Winston Tripping Program involves each cabin of campers that are 7-13 years of age, attending approximately two tripping activity rotations during their time at Camp Winston. Campers explore the outdoors with guided activities designed by the Tripping Instructor. Our Tripping Program provides a physically and emotionally safe learning environment that fosters the development of outdoor skills within a group setting. Activities are designed to teach campers the basics of outdoor living such as the fundamentals of first-aid, campfire building skills, canoeing and the various skills necessary to pack, prepare, portage, and camp with minimal impact to the environment. This prepares them for camping trips, such as the Algonquin Trip that they will take in their teen years at Camp Winston. This program also teaches team-building skills and connects campers with the wonders of the great outdoors.
