Challenge Course

The Camp Winston High Ropes Program involves each cabin of campers, who are 7-13 years of age, attending approximately two ropes activity rotations a week during their time at Camp Winston. This program is designed to meet a number of educational, developmental, social and recreational goals for our campers. Our “challenge by choice” program focuses on individual achievements and asks our campers to confront their personal fears and anxieties by setting and meeting personal goals. Challenges may be physical and/or emotional. Campers learn the basics of climbing safety, including how to harness equipment and how to support climbers. The High Ropes courses is a fun, challenging, and exciting program for many of our campers who experience climbing for their first time. Some high rope activities include, Treetop Trekking, Tree Climb, Rock Climbing Wall etc.
