Contract Details

Starting: April 2019

Contract Length: 1 Year Contract with an option to renew

Hours: 5-8 hours per week up to a maximum of 10 hours per week

Reports to: Senior Director and the Communications Committee Chair


Summary

Camp Winston Foundation is entering an exciting phase focused on a large-scale endowment campaign that will ensure services for children with complex neurodiversity in perpetuity.  To that end, we are looking for a senior consultant who can help tell our story, cleary define our impact and create a long term strategic communications plan in support of our vision

Responsibilities:

  1. Review and analyze current communications strategies/tools and provide recommendations for optimizing for future

  2. Develop and implement effective communications strategies that support the achievement of CW’s strategic plan

  3. Develop and implement a comprehensive communications plan to support $16M fundraising campaign

  4. Oversee the development of an innovative social media strategy

  5. Manage media inquiries

  6. Provide communications counsel to CW leadership, including the Sr Director and Board of Directors

  7. Support the development of presentations and materials, as well as remarks for key CW representatives at relevant events

  8. Prepare and coach CW representatives for speaking opportunities and/or donor/partner meetings, etc

  9. Develop communications materials on behalf of CW that supports the brand W

  10. Website management

  11. Support fundraising committee on materials development for events and/or stewarding activities including Camp Winston’s Annual Run-Raiser
