Thank you for considering working for the Camp Winston Foundation and the children we serve. A summer season with us is an unforgettable and life-changing experience. In your time with us you will learn about yourself, how to communicate, how to help those with lived-experience that is very different from your own, make friends that will last well into the great blue yonder, and you will have a meaningful impact as a coach and role-model for children who need you desperately. You will give of yourself and you will receive in equal measure.
You will join a group of 70 staff as we embark on a bright and diverse adventure to help 140 children. You'll be responsible for the total-care of 3-5 children at a time with staff teams of 5-6 members. We generally hire mature adults with a wide range of personal and professional passion. Kindness, humour, flexibility and initiative are core qualities of our counsellors.
Without advertisement, there are 200+ names on our wait-list. The need for this type of service is staggering and we can guarantee that any pursuit after Camp Winston will benefit from your experience with us. Your ability to empathically change perspective, to communicate, to problem solve and to teach skills will all be greatly enhanced.
We are excited to hear from you to determine if you're a fit for the children we serve. Please email a cover letter and resume to Jenna Simpson at firstname.lastname@example.org to apply.
