Our New Building is Almost Complete! We are pleased and proud to announce that our new Administrative/Medical Centre is 80% complete. After four days, with over 300 volunteers on-site, the exterior structure was nearly completed.  Unfortunately, the rain on the final day ended the completion of the roof. In addition to the main building, these wonderful volunteers completed the re-building of several decks and staircases including the staircase that goes to our boathouse. The volunteers also re-shingled Stan Lodge and installed a set of solar panels which will bring an estimated income of $2,500 annually. Our playground has also been repaired and stained in bright colours! We want to extend a very big THANK-YOU to Volunteer Builders who organized this incredible undertaking, Oran Industries who made a very generous donation of all of the windows installed in this building, to Canadian Roof Management Ltd., who provided us with the roofing materials for Stan Lodge and for our new building and to Owens Corning Canada who made a very generous donation of insulation which will help us winterize our new building. We still need to raise funds to support the costs associated with the completion of this wonderful building. Naming opportunities are still available.  | Please join our fundraising campaign called 360degrees (a campaign that is full circle) based on the idea that we can find 600 people who will donate at least $600. (or $50 per month) which will raise $360,000. Required to finance the costs of our new building. By the time campers arrive on June 20th, a wonderful new building will be nearly complete which will improve the health, safety and efficiency of our operation. |
