The weekend includes lodging, meals and activities. This is a great introduction to our summer camp program and gives girls a chance to connect with peers with similar disorders.
One of the greatest challenges of living with a neurological disorder is not only making friendships but maintaining them. Regular contact through the Girls’ Weekends allows the campers to see each other several times throughout the year. Girls learn to value the importance of emotional connection and develop skills such as flexibility, problem solving, collaboration, and compassion. Girls return year after year and we find that many of the friendships continue on outside of the weekends.
We take girls ages 7 to 17 years of age. We offer a 1:2 ratio of staff to camper.
